How long do you microwave a hot dog?

A single hot dog will not take very long to microwave. Hot dogs are precooked, so the microwave is simply heating it up. If you put it in for too long, the hot dog could tear, explode, or just overcook. Try putting it in for :30 seconds, and if it's not hot enough after that, go for another :15-:30.
